David W. Steenhard a.k.a. Turtle b.1951

Dave is an artist that was born, raised and lives in Spokane, WA USA
He likes to use acrylics on canvas with small brushes using fine detail.
Using his imagination and photos he's subject matters are realistic looking fantasy worlds.
The children's book he illustrated he used colored pencils on art boards with many layers. Each drawing took hundreds of hours to create.

He has a A.A.S. degree in Art and a three year degree in Graphic Design from Spokane Falls Community College. He has worked in several different art departments for printing and sign companies.

Dave was married to Viki for forty years and they had two children, a daughter Niki and a son Derrick. He also has ten grand children.
Unfortunately Viki past away unexpectedly in 2020.

Dave is retired and enjoys playing with all his kids and working on his paintings. He has sold many of his paintings over the years.

Dave is a veteran and has three years of service in the US Navy.
